Krasniqi: The government should not discriminate against municipalities based on party politics

The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, during his visit to the municipality of Vushtrri on Wednesday, called on the Government not to discriminate against the municipalities on the basis of party politics, but to become their partner in serving the citizens.

In this visit where, together with the mayor of the municipality, Ferit Idrizi, they closely followed the infrastructural works for the transformation of the city, Krasniqi said that at the end of the year it is seen that there has been regression in many areas, as according to him, it is proven by international reports.

"If there should be any example of how we should be at their service, they can come to Vushtrri and see the improvement of citizens' lives. Today we are at the end of 2023 and, unfortunately, this year is not one of Kosovo's successful years. It is a year where there has been regression and stagnation in many areas, as has been proven by international reports. But, I believe that each one of us should be up to the task to give the maximum as the local government is giving in the Municipality of Vushtrri headed by Mayor Idrizi", Krasniqi said, announced by the largest opposition party.

While the mayor of the municipality, Ferit Idrizi, has said that all the started projects are going according to plans.

"Together with the Mayor Memli Krasniqi, today we monitored the works on 'Pestova' street, 'Drenica' street, 'Avni Saraqi' street and the works for the construction of the vehicle parking lot in this part of the city square. As we can see, the works are going according to the dynamic plan and the citizens will be very satisfied with the work we are doing", said Mayor Idrizi.
