The Kosovar company "Formon" has created the ventilator for breathing and the prototype will be tested tomorrow, Rron Cena, director of this company, told TIME.
The ventilator is necessary for emergency cases in patients who have breathing problems, and at this time the country can come to work, since even the coronavirus often causes such problems.
The fan is named "VentCore".
"VentCore is a simple respirator that uses a BVM (bag-valve-mask) to help patients infected with COVID-19 breathe. According to the research we have done, the lack of such equipment in hospitals around the world has been one of the causes of many deaths from this virus. For that reason, we have focused on creating a device with an open design that is produced quickly and easily", Cena told KOHEN.
The fan, according to a press release from the Innovation Center Kosovo, is an easy-to-produce device, including parts that can be produced with 3D printers from "Formon".
"The fan will go into production, immediately after testing", says the ICK announcement.
