Kosovo and Turkey cooperate in the prosecution field

The Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, today hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey headed by the Deputy Minister of this Ministry, Bilal Uçar. The ambassador of this country in Kosovo, Kivilcim Kiliçi, also participated in this meeting, the official press release reports, Koha.net reports.

Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has thanked Deputy Minister Uçar for the help that the Turkish state is continuously giving to the prosecutorial system of the Republic of Kosovo, while he has evaluated the cooperation of the two countries so far in the field of the prosecutorial system and has expressed the readiness to deepen this cooperation.

Lumezi has said that the establishment of cooperation in the international legal field will be useful for the two countries in the joint fight against illegal phenomena at the local, regional and beyond.

Deputy Minister Uçar expressed his willingness to continue supporting the prosecutorial system of Kosovo in raising the professional capacities of prosecutors and in other areas that may be presented as necessary.

During this meeting, Lumezi also spoke about the work that the State Prosecutor's Office is doing in the fight against organized crime, corruption and other illegal phenomena.
