The mayor of Vitia, Sokol Haliti, has requested greater financial support for his municipality in the fight against the coronavirus.
He did this in a meeting with the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, and the Director of the Public Health Institute of Kosovo, Naser Ramadani.
According to the announcement from the municipality of Vitia, Haliti and Vitia have discussed "the measures taken by the Municipality of Vitia to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus, after the newest cases from the Municipality of Vitia, the quarantine, disinfection and chlorination of the premises !”
"Also, Mayor Haliti requested financial support from certain departments in order to provide even greater support to citizens in this unusual time of the pandemic!" the notice says.
Vitia was one of the first municipalities in which the coronavirus appeared. So far, 33 people have been infected in this municipality.
