The Municipality of Pristina has reacted after suspicions were raised regarding the alleged involvement of Mayor Perprim Rama and senior municipal officials in illegal legalizations of buildings.
In a reaction published on Facebook, it is stated that the Municipality awaits the handling of the case by the Prosecutor's Office and the competent justice bodies and that after their decision, it will take legal action against anyone who has violated the law.
On Thursday, the Vetëvendosje Movement took the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, to the Prosecutor's Office.
The report is based on a tip-off, which speaks of illegal legalizations of facilities that several companies have built in the capital.
On Wednesday, KOHA also received such information from a whistleblower who did not reveal his identity.
He has listed a number of accusations and attached communications that allegedly belong to a municipal official close to Mayor Rama and responsible since 2025 for the cadastre and urban planning directorates.
The municipality, in its response on Friday, confirmed that it was Rama's chief of staff, Florent Maliqi.
"Regarding the published materials containing allegations against the Chief of Staff, Florent Maliqi, we await the handling of the case by the Prosecution and the competent justice bodies. The capital will offer full cooperation with the justice bodies. After the decision of the Prosecution, we will undertake without any hesitation all legal actions and procedures against anyone who is found to have violated the law",
The communications included in the alert mention allegations of illegal legalization of several buildings and three construction companies. It also mentions the receipt of a bribe of 30 thousand euros from another company, although the legalization conditions were met.
KOHA has sent questions to the contact numbers that the companies have published on online platforms, including ARBK, but has not received a response.
Neither Maliqi nor the Municipality of Pristina responded on Thursday.
In the copies of the alleged communications, there is content that shows that Maliqi, recording them in the name of family members.
And, in a post on social media, the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, described this as a propaganda action against him, on the day when the LDK Assembly convenes and Rama is mentioned as a possible candidate for party leader.

The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has reacted after the Vetëvendosje Movement filed a criminal complaint against him on Thursday based on a tip-off, which speaks of illegal legalizations of buildings that several companies have built in the capital.
Rama, who on Thursday described this as a propaganda action against him, on the day the LDK Assembly was held, said in a post on Friday that they are open to the justice system and warned of legal actions and procedures, as he said, against anyone found to have violated the law.
Rama has told the Vetëvendosje assembly members who submitted the complaint to instruct the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti to respond to the prosecution for an interview regarding the state reserves case.
"First of all, I'm glad that you are finally addressing the Prosecution. It's good news. Now instruct the Prime Minister to respond to the Prosecution, because he hasn't responded to the invitation for an interview for more than two years," Rama wrote.
He has guaranteed full cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office.
"Second, the doors of the Capital have been and remain open to the justice bodies. We guarantee full, transparent and institutional cooperation for every request of the Prosecution, as always, without question. After the Prosecution's decision, we will undertake without any hesitation all legal actions and procedures against ANYONE who is found to have violated the law!", Rama wrote.
