The municipality of Kaçanik has decided to support 60 distinguished students with scholarships worth 40 euros per month for the academic year 2022-2023.
This decision was also supported by the Municipal Assembly in one of the previous meetings, based on regulation NR.06/2016 on the allocation of subsidies.
According to municipal officials, this decision was taken within the framework of municipal policies for the support of citizens and students through the category of subsidies. Students must meet certain criteria that they must first be a resident of the municipality of Kaçanik, then be a regular student at a public university, have completed all the exams of the previous year, be a second year student or higher , not to repeat the year and have an average grade higher than 7.5, except for some deficit courses.
The evaluation of the candidates will be done with points by multiplying the average grade by the coefficient of 10. Then the deficient courses will be taken as a basis and 5 points will be added.
"Students benefit from additional points if they belong to the war-related categories such as children of martyrs, invalids, veterans and martyrs. As well as for children whose families have a difficult economic situation, persons with disabilities, then for those families who have more than one student", it is said, among others, in the announcement of the Municipality.
