The drama surrounding the insulin tender is finally over. June 19 was the last day when the "Pharma Leader" company was able to file a complaint against the decision of the Ministry of Health to cancel the tender. After the denunciation made last week and the accusations of forgery, the company has not continued the battle with the Ministry of Health
The tender for the supply of insulin, initiated by the Ministry of Health more than two and a half years ago, has been finally canceled, since the company did not file a complaint against this decision of the Ministry of Health.
This ministry canceled the tender about two weeks ago, after qualifying the "Pharma Leader" company as irresponsible, since it did not possess the Marketing Authorization document, which certifies the quality and safety of the drugs.
But during the entire process related to the tender, the Procurement Review Body, in several decisions, has assessed that the company fulfills the criteria for the tender.
The company had the right to appeal to the PRB. The deadline for this was until Monday, but he has not submitted a request for annulment of the Ministry's decision.
Failure to approve the decision of the Ministry of Health to cancel the tender means that the insulin tender will eventually be cancelled.

And this effort of the Ministry of Health has been futile for about 2 years, but the Procurement Review Body had always sided with the pharmaceutical company that today the Ministry of Health claims is counterfeit.
The secretary of the Ministry of Health, Naim Bardiqi, confirmed the absence of an appeal for the cancellation decision.
"Yesterday was the last day and there were no complaints from economic operators, shareholders of this process. Therefore, the procurement division, in accordance with the mandate, has taken the appropriate decisions to cancel this activity", said Bardiqi.
Last week, the Ministry of Health denounced the company "Pharma Leader" publicly, but also to the investigator, for submitting forged documents for the tender.
Bardiq has said that he is not aware if there is any connection between the denunciation and the withdrawal of the company from the complaint.

"Is it related to the fact that the economic operator has not submitted a complaint about this activity, maybe this fact can be", said Bardiqi.
He warned that the ministry will request that the company be included in the black list. KOHA has addressed questions to the company, both on the day of its denunciation by the Ministry of Health, but also on Tuesday regarding the withdrawal from the tender, but has not received an answer.
