Lawyer Arianit Koci has said that a Kosovo citizen has also been detained by Serbia. As he stated in a Facebook post, the citizen in question, who comes from Gjakova, was initially detained while crossing the Serbia-Croatia border, and after a few hours was transferred to Belgrade.
Koci further said that the legal basis for the ban is still not clear.
"Last night, while crossing the Serbia-Croatia border, Serbian authorities detained Dugagjin Maxhuni, from Beci i Gjakova, born on May 10, 1979. He was initially detained for verification. After a few hours, the family was notified that he had been transferred to Belgrade and that the procedures against him were continuing. At the moment, the circumstances and legal basis for the detention are still unclear. I am verifying the information and following the case," Koci wrote.
The lawyer further criticized the current political situation in the country, saying that it is dealing with endless clashes while "Serbia continues to arrest our citizens."
And someone has to take care of the citizens of Kosovo.
