US aviation from the Eastern Regional Command of the NATO-led Kosovo Forces responded on Thursday in extinguishing fires in Albania and Kosovo.
KFOR announced through a communiqué on Thursday that they have responded to the village of Babaj Boks in Gjakovë and Albania to neutralize the risk of the fires spreading.
"KFOR assets continued to offer their assistance until the fire danger was eliminated," the communiqué states.
KFOR has added that it will continue to implement its mandate to provide a safe environment.
