Fehim Sali is suspected of collecting information about Wahhabis and other people he could recruit.

The Special Prosecution Office has requested one month of detention for Fehim Sali, suspected of the criminal offense of "Espionage". 

KOHA has seen the Prosecution's request, which states that Sali, as a person recruited by the BIA, "acted according to the orders and instructions of the senior BIA official, Želimir Matović, known by the nickname 'Željko', in such a way that the same provided information about the political situation in Kosovo, identified KIA officials by taking their photographs, provided information about persons belonging to the Wahhabi sect and other persons, whom he then proposed to the BIA official as possible targets for contact and recruitment." 

It is further stated that Sali has maintained contacts with politically and socially influential persons in Serbia and Kosovo from non-majority communities, "to whom he has also provided instructions and orientation on the manner of political action." 

One month of detention is requested for the suspect of collaboration with the BIA, Fehim Sali

The Special Prosecution has requested the Court to impose a one-month detention measure on Fehim Sali, suspected of the criminal offense of "Espionage". 

The hearing against the defendant Sali started at 09:00. Sali was arrested on Thursday morning at the border crossing in Merdar while crossing into Serbia after 7:00 in the morning. He is suspected of having collaborated with the Serbian Intelligence Agency (BIA) for a long period of time and of having maintained contacts with officials of this agency. 

Following the arrest, the Police and the Special Prosecution Office raided the suspect's house in Dragash, where material evidence was found and seized. Sali worked as a teacher at the Serbian school "9 Maji" in the village of Rapçë in Dragash and had previously served two terms on the Consultative Council for Communities within the Kosovo Presidency.

He was dismissed from his position on the Community Advisory Council in 2024.

And in March 2021, KOHA reported that Fehim Sali had been suspended from his job as a teacher at the "9 Maji" primary school, after he had declared his candidacy on the list of the Gorani party "Zajeno".

As Sali had stated, he had received threats and faced pressure from another Gorani entity, JGP, which, according to him, enjoyed support from parallel structures in Dragash, as well as the Serbian List.

He also mentioned the name of former Serbian List MP Jasmina Dedić for those threats.

Sali later returned to work, while KOHA learned that the investigation had been closed because he was not willing to testify after returning to work.
