Researcher at the Musine Kokalari Institute for Social Policy, Belgzim Kamberi, said that a government composed of the Vetëvendosje Movement and the Democratic Party of Kosovo would be the strongest and most stable government.
However, according to him, such a composition of the executive would be a "government of elbows".
"I think there is a chance that we will go to new elections. Even a Government that would be more stable like LVV-PDK or LVV-LDK does not mean that it would be stable in the long term. If we take it from a logical perspective, the most stable, strongest Government would be a Vetëvendosje-PDK government, but such a government would raise an important question; would PDK accept Prime Minister Mr. Kurti? This government would be the 'Elbow Government'", he said on Thursday on KTV's "Interaktiv".
He further assessed that it is difficult to foresee a new Government without foreign intervention.
"Will there be external intervention and who will intervene from the outside? We are in a situation where the international factors that could facilitate this process are who today? It is a situation where the European Union has a weakened position after the arrival of the Trump Administration and it seems that the EU has lost its influence and power both within itself and in relation to the Western Balkans. Logic requires that the Trump Administration would have some involvement, but this is not assured as we may be in a situation where the Trump Administration does not show interest in dealing with the Western Balkans and leaves this process to the EU," he said.
While speaking about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Kamberi stated that there is a risk that Kosovo will only be a topic of talks and not a party.
"A new risk has now arisen that Kosovo may only be a topic of negotiations and not a party. We are in a situation where the US and Russia have claims to resolve a war dispute on the European continent by taking the primacy of the solution and leaving the EU on the margins," he said.
