The Vice President of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Time Kadrijaj, has criticized the Vetëvendosje Movement for the political impasse in the country, accusing it of obstructing the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of a new government, following the parliamentary elections of February 9.
On Saturday, the constitution of the ninth legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo failed for the 28th time.
Kadrijaj told "KosovaPress" that "AAK is the only party that has offered alternatives for resolving the institutional crisis."
Monday is the next session where the election of legislative bodies will be attempted again.
Since May 1, the Vetëvendosje Movement has insisted that the vote for its candidate for Speaker of the Parliament, Albulena Haxhiu, be held by secret ballot, as she has failed to be elected to this position six times through open voting.
However, Kadrijaj hopes that the Constitutional Court will quickly issue a decision on the constitutionality of the secret ballot of the Speaker of the Assembly, following their initiation of the case on May 12.
"We are the only party that has provided alternatives. We have provided alternatives that we will vote for a certain candidate if they are nominated for speaker of parliament. We have also addressed the Constitutional Court with a request where there is a possibility to unblock the situation and determine the time limit for how long a candidate has the right to be nominated if they do not receive the votes for speaker of parliament. Or how long the LVV has the right to consume this right. They cannot be allowed to continue indefinitely with such blockades and without any efforts either to change the candidate or to create a simple majority," she says.

Kadrijaj, expressing opposition to any possible coalition with the LVV, casts doubt that the Vetevendosje Movement could drag out the constitution of the Assembly even if Albulena Haxhiu is elected Speaker of Parliament, by not voting for the deputy speakers proposed by the PDK and LDK.
"No, not at all. We have been clear in this regard. We will continue with these principles and have provided alternatives to unblock this situation... We are seeing a tendency that even if the speaker passes, the LVV will attempt to block the constitution of the Assembly by not voting for the deputy speakers," Kadrijaj added.
The AAK Vice President also spoke to KosovaPress about the dialogue with Serbia and the possibility of reviving this process before the new government is formed.
Last week, the chief negotiator in the dialogue, also acting Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, held a meeting in Brussels with the EU envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen.
She says that the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has not brought any good to the country through dialogue, and according to her, he has even accepted an Association with executive powers.
"They have had a four-year mandate and you know what blockades they have made by avoiding the dialogue process, through unilateral actions and without coordination with the international factor. We have seen that this dialogue has not brought any results except for the donation of the lands of the Deçan Monastery for political points. They have also accepted the Association, which has executive powers. With this dialogue, they have not brought any good to Kosovo. We have expressed our readiness to assist in the dialogue process as a national interest, but they have not taken anything into account and have accepted issues of dialogue that have harmed Kosovo," she emphasizes.
Kadrijaj says that EU measures against Kosovo should be lifted in full and not gradually, as the EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kaja Kallas, has announced.

According to the AAK MP, during the meeting with the latter during her visit to Kosovo, it was understood that some EU countries still think that the situation in the north has not de-escalated.

The measures were imposed very quickly, but now a consensus of all EU countries is being sought for their lifting, which currently does not exist," she concludes.
