The United Union of Education, Science and Culture of Kosovo (SBAShK), is opposing the new version of the Salary Law, which they say has many defects in it.
Although they were promised to be part of the Commission for the Salary Law, this union says that they were not invited at all.
However, the head of SBAShK, Rrahman Jasharaj, said that the agreement was that the Salary Law be completed by the end of March, otherwise the Governing Council will continue with protests.
Meanwhile, he added that the SBAShK congress has announced a strike on April 2.
"Things are going badly because Minister Xelal Sveçla has promised us that the unions will be an integral part of the Wage Law commission, and this has not happened but only one meeting when the representatives of the unions were in the capacity of observers without the right to give opinions The version that is being distributed, and the ministry is saying that it is not official, but based on this version, the experts in the field of SBASHK have expressed against this law because it has major defects", said Jashari.

Jashari has also warned of a protest if the Kurti Government does not invite SBAShK to consult on the new Salary Law.
"The agreement was to complete the final version by the end of March. This is not happening and we ask the Kurti Government to sit down with the unions because we insist that the entire education system has its rightful place in the law. The first signals have been given in the governing council and we have warned that we will start with a limited protest showing the government that we are unhappy. While on April 2, there will be a congress of the SBASHK, which will bring with it a decision for a strike from kindergartens to the university. The Kurti government has reduced the coefficient of teachers allegedly to equalize and has done it as if the coefficient of the teacher is not increasing but reducing it", said Jashari for EO.
