"Iowa has not found a better cooperation than Kosovo and its people"

Bilateral relations and the good friendship that Kosovo has with the state of Iowa, are relations with the United States of America. This was the assessment of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, in a meeting with the Commander of the Iowa National Guard, Major General Timothy Orr.

During the meeting with Orri, "Haradinaj informed him about the achievements and priority of the Government of Kosovo, especially in the strengthening and professional advancement of the Kosovo Security Force, for which Kosovo needs the help and assistance of the USA".

"We are committed to strengthening our bilateral relations in areas of common interest and your experience will help us in the advancement of different sectors, especially in the field of security, education, health, culture", said Haradinaj.

"We need success stories, building on the multi-year partnership with the state of Iowa. Now with the arrival of the delegation of 60 members from this country from different institutions and profiles, we are profiling this cooperation, giving special emphasis to the field of education and the economic field, in addition to the military presence", said Haradinaj, asking Orri the continuation of military support in joint actions with the KSF.

Meanwhile, Orr said that every time he visits Kosovo, he feels good, evaluating Kosovo's progress in this first decade of its independence, according to the announcement from the government.

After the meeting with Haradinaj, in an address before the government cabinet, Orr said that the Kosovo-Iowa partnership is the best that Iowa and the USA have, and this is thanks to the people of Kosovo. "We have not found a better partnership than Kosovo and its people", he declared.

Speaking about the good relations between the two countries, Orr said that they are waiting to sign two agreements with the sister cities.
