Kosovo's acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has appointed Imri Demelez as acting Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development. According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, Demelez will replace the current minister, Faton Peci, after Peci was elected mayor of South Mitrovica and is expected to be sworn in tomorrow, December 12.
Faton Peci also announced through the social network Facebook that he has resigned as Minister of Agriculture, thanking the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti for his support.
"Today I handed over the position of Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development to Mr. Imri Demelezi, to whom I wish success and prosperity in the responsibilities that await him. I express special gratitude to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, for the correctness, support and excellent cooperation we had," Peci wrote.
