Hysa: Vuçiqi is not mentioning Kosovo because he is facing Kurti who is being attacked by the West

Former diplomat Ylber Hysa said that for several months the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has not mentioned Kosovo in his speeches.

According to him, this is happening because he is facing Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who is constantly being hit and scolded by Westerners for his actions.

"Mr. Vucic does not mention Kosovo in the last 3-4 months, this happens because Mr. Kurti is constantly being hit and reprimanded for his actions", said Hysa on Thursday in KTV's "Interaktiv" -'s.

He added that the image of Kosovo in diplomacy is already wrong, as it is seen as guilty. According to him, this has a price.

"The image in diplomacy has a lot to do, our image today is that we are also to blame, this is a serious step back. Always in any kind of diplomatic intervention by the Western partners, Belgrade has been the address where pressure had to be applied, now it is a serious waste of diplomatic investment of generations and I think it costs. We are paying the price, it is not known where we can reach with that price, but I believe that we need friends", added Hysa.

While speaking about today's visit of the French president, Emmanuel Macron, to Belgrade, where the agreement for 12 "Rafale" fighter planes was signed, he said that Vuçiqi has reached the peak of his diplomacy.

"This visit, which perhaps had the greatest symbolism in the airplanes, seemed that the purpose was to make public an agreement, it was not only about airplanes, but many other agreements. This is practically a big package, the Serbian president needs it anyway. With this, he has reached the peak of his diplomacy both with the West and with the East. It has reached its peak at the internal level as well. It is also a strengthening of the diplomatic image of Serbia in a wider arena, but still in the region. Serbia will receive the newest, updated class "rafales" that are of a much higher level than what Croatia has. "Macron wanted to diminish this by saying that Serbia is also joining the 'Rafale' club," he said.
