Hoti: Kosovo is not being governed, new crises are covering the old ones

The former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, declared that Kosovo is not being governed, and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, according to him, is holding conferences for crisis management, not for the promotion of new jobs. He said that the new crises are covering the old ones.

On Wednesday, Hoti wrote on Facebook that Government officials are starting and ending the day without doing work, until he listed four topics that, according to him, Kurti is not dealing with.

"Strike in education. No attempt by the government to prevent the strike. The new school year may not start as planned. The government is not talking with the unions to find a solution that takes into account the demands of the unions and the budget possibilities", wrote Hoti.

According to him, the electricity crisis is also problematic, since, as he said, the Government has no plan for the winter phase.

"The situation is critical in the middle of summer. No one knows why there are reductions in the middle of summer when energy consumption is relatively low. The price of wood and pellets, as an alternative for heating, has doubled since then. The electricity companies (KEK, KEDS, KESKO and KOSTT) are in chaos in terms of debts to each other", said Hoti, while emphasizing that inflation in Kosovo has reached 19 percent.

According to the deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, the increase in the prices of raw materials has paralyzed the economic activity of many firms.

"The "National Council for Economic Development" has never met to discuss business challenges," wrote Hoti. He emphasized that in the dialogue process with Serbia, the Kurti Government is not transparent. Hoti said that the opposition is being informed about the dialogue through Western emissaries.
