The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, expressed to the American Ambassador Philip Kosnett his determination for cooperation with the USA.
Today, Hoti received the ambassador in an informative meeting, and as announced by the statement from the prime minister, Hoti thanked Ambassador Kosnett for the permanent support of the USA.
"Hoti affirmed the determination of the Government of Kosovo to work closely with the USA in the future as well", the announcement states, among other things.
Also, it is said further, Prime Minister Hoti informed Ambassador Kosnett about the immediate priorities of the new government, such as: the fight against COVID-19 and economic recovery. In addition to these, he emphasized other priorities, such as strengthening the state, advancing democracy, fighting corruption, increasing employment, developing the free market and taking responsibility for dialogue.
It is further emphasized that Ambassador Kosnett said that the United States will continue its support for Kosovo, especially in efforts to improve regional relations, support economic development and strengthen the rule of law - including the fight against corruption.
