The American ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, said that Serbia is currently a closer NATO partner than Kosovo, while he emphasized that the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority should be established.
He added that the dinar issue would also be resolved with the Association.
"If you look at who is a NATO partner, Serbia is much closer to NATO than Kosovo. At this moment yes. This is very true for now", he said in an interview for RTS.
Hill was asked about the events during the years 1998-1999 related to Kosovo, indicating that the expectations of the USA were that within years Kosovo and Serbia would be in the European Union. But this turned out to be different.
