The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo has begun to investigate the investigation of the "Affair of loan sharks" by the Kosovo Police. The fact that some police investigators in two different investigation cases have been dealing with the investigation of the same evidence with the same suspects for the same case, has pushed the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo to start investigations.
They started collecting information about this case after the KOHA Group media showed the videos where two of the protagonists, already arrested, Rrahim Hashimi and Kadri Rexhepi, are seen receiving money on behalf of the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, writes today Daily Time.
The initiation of the investigation was confirmed to the newspaper by the Police Inspectorate through a written response. He said that they initially started the investigation into the case "accidentally", as they had come across while dealing with another case.
"The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo during the investigation of another case has come to the information that two different units of the Police of Kosovo are handling the same case", says the response of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo.
According to this institution, the information they collected was sent to the Kosovo Police for procedural investigation.
