Haziri: The President should decree or return the law on the KLA to the Parliament

Liberation of Haziri

He emphasized that the KLA needs a constitutional law, enforceable and in line with European standards, that stands the test of time and produces concrete results.

One of the main expectations of the initiative, according to Haziri, is that the possibility of monitoring judicial processes, through cooperation with institutes, universities and legal experts, will be transformed into a real, independent and professional mechanism.

This mechanism should enable the assessment of procedures, evidence and respect for the fundamental rights of the accused, as well as produce legal analyses, professional reports and independent assessments, which will also be forwarded to the institutions of the European Union and international organizations.

Haziri reiterated his belief in the innocence of the former KLA leaders, emphasizing that no one should be considered definitively guilty without a final decision, based on evidence and a fair trial.

He stated that the initiative considers that the Special Court committed serious violations during the process and that the decision was not based on a fair, impartial and complete assessment of the evidence. For this reason, it has requested that these violations be reviewed and assessed by independent experts, based on international standards of justice.

Speaking about the rights of victims, Haziri emphasized that they also have the right to know the truth, based on facts and evidence.
