Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Lutfi Haziri has declared that he will not attend Vetëvendosje Movement meetings, saying that "there is no need to waste time."
He stated that the LDK's position has not changed.
"We did not see a purpose to meet, but rather to see each other. The LDK's position from the debate has been confirmed and remains the same. Since we have not changed our political position, we do not need to go to anyone's meeting or feel used. This political position has been clarified and confirmed by Mr. Abdixhiku. We do not see any purpose," said Haziri.
Regarding the constitution of the Assembly, he said that it is the duty of the party that wins the elections and that no one intends to "give the first party political oxygen."
"He should not behave with this political behavior. For the constitution of the Assembly because no one intends to give the first party political oxygen when he comes out in the lobby, points his finger and continues... Kurti has confirmed that he is working with 48 MPs and ethnic communities, with whom he is building agreements of political interest. He has told them that he is not changing partners in the Government and 'you have to come and help me'", added Haziri.
He said that a mechanism for dialogue had to be built.
Haziri said that the citizen of Kosovo has been "poisoned with divisive politics."
He said this is especially noticeable in more remote places.
"The further away from Pristina it is, the more seriously the work is taken. It is unnatural, useless, for the people to be divided for pictures on the walls. At a time when this people has made two major reconciliations... It needs to heal. I don't know how long it will take," said Haziri.
Haziri: Kurti is guided by a hidden agenda
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Lutfi Haziri has stated that Prime Minister Albin Kurti is guided by a hidden agenda, adding that this has not been sufficiently clarified even by the Vetëvendosje Movement.
He added that Kurti is not comfortable and "makes constant efforts to reach the majority even outside the public eye."
"I have always said that Mr. Kurti is being led by a hidden agenda, which is not even clear to some extent for the VV. It is a well-known term, there are leaders of certain instances, where democracies are not at a satisfactory level. We know that Kurti is not comfortable, he is making continuous efforts to reach the majority. Out of the public eye, out of your knowledge and that of the citizens", said Haziri.
He stated that Kosovo is moving into the public blame phase, while saying that politically it is "a game of nerves and public pressure."
"It is political skill and ability to go into the first session of the Assembly with full agreement," he said.
Haziri added that new elections should not suit the first party.
"Only one party should not be able to agree (to new elections). The one who won the elections. For others, in new circumstances, it is a new circumstance...LDK has always been committed to a solid result, it has had cooperation with everyone in mind, even touching its own wounds," added the deputy leader of the party that came third in the February 9 elections.
Regarding Kurti, Haziri added that there is still talk about the constitution of the Assembly while "it is a matter of weeks when local elections should be called."
"If Kurti continues with this format of solving problems step by step, this means that it will be difficult to make progress in the constitution of institutions," he added.
Haziri said that the LDK is ready for extraordinary elections, but added that "they do not suit Kosovo."
Haziri: Kurti closed the partnership on February 9
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Lutfi Haziri has stated that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has ended his partnership with other parties on February 9.
He said on Monday on KTV's "Interaktiv" that Kurti had closed the possibility of cooperation through offensive words on the night of the parliamentary elections, while adding that the partnership "is built, not an act."
He spoke of a political crisis that he said would "deepen."
"This is a political crisis. How deep it will deepen depends on the initiative of the first party. It depends on the behavior of the first party. It would not be necessary for others to take action. Kurti came out on February 9 and closed the partnership. He said I have chosen the partners, I have no others," Haziri said.
He further added that without a political agreement there will be no progress.
He spoke about the election of the Speaker of the Assembly, saying that this is now a political process, not a procedural one.
"This is a political process, not a procedural one. Invitations for consultations like 'we have the candidate for speaker of parliament, and you have the candidate for deputy speaker'. This is not a solution because the Constitutional Court's roadmap exists... The first party must make an effort to create a majority that enables the election of the speaker of the Assembly," Haziri said.
The LDK vice-chairman added that within Vetëvendosje there are other names for the position of Speaker of the Assembly, adding that "the move of Glauk Konjufca from the position of Speaker of the Assembly was a surprise."
