Haziri: Kurt's resignation, the most appropriate way for the elections

Lutfi Haziri

The Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, has stated that the resignation of Prime Minister Albin Kurti is the most appropriate way to pave the way for parliamentary elections,  said that he has not built a consensus with the opposition.

According to Haziri, the political trap for the dissolution of the Assembly is being used as a justification "to keep Koaova politically separated".

"LDK believes that Prime Minister Kurti's act of resignation is the most appropriate way to pave the way for the parliamentary elections in 2024. The political trap to build a consensus for elections with the dissolution of the Assembly is only an excuse to keep Kosovo politically divided, in positions White and black. This prime minister has not built a consensus for anything in these three years. On the contrary, there is no political dialogue with the opposition, nor social dialogue with unions, nor with civil society," Haziri wrote on Facebook.

The LDK has expressed itself in favor of holding extraordinary elections, declaring itself as "the most ready party".

Its officials have said that if the extraordinary elections were held, the LDK would be in the running for first place.
