Acting President Albulena Haxhiu has welcomed the KJC's proposal to remove Serbian judges who resigned in 2022.
She has said that in accordance with constitutional responsibilities, she will take action to remove them from office.
"I welcome the proposal of the Kosovo Judicial Council to dismiss Serbian judges who resigned in 2022. In accordance with constitutional and legal responsibilities, as soon as the Kosovo Judicial Council sends the proposals, it will take action to dismiss them," he said.
The Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) in today's meeting rejected requests to withdraw the resignations and reinstate Serbian judges and administrative staff in northern Kosovo, who had resigned in 2022, to the judicial system.
