The new Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, has said that she will return the trust placed in her to take this position with daily work, transparency and full dedication.
In her speech after taking office, she said that she would strive to ensure that each MP finds their own space with the same dignity and respect.
"Today I take on this task with full awareness of the constitutional weight it carries. I will honor this trust with daily work, transparency and full dedication. My duty will be to ensure that the Assembly functions with dignity, transparency and mutual respect, in accordance with the Constitution, laws and parliamentary practices. I will strive for each of you to find your space here with the same dignity and respect, because a functional Assembly is a prerequisite for a strong state and a stable democracy," she said.
Haxhiu pledged that she "will exercise the duty of president with impartiality, integrity and full institutional commitment."
