International law professor Enver Hasani has stated that the conflict between Israel and Iran will not end without neutralizing the nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime.
He stressed that the West's peace agreements with Iran have failed and that confronting this threat is inevitable.
"Since Hamas' attack on Israel, everything has had a logical flow. I'm not talking about the humanitarian aspect, but about the fact that Iran, unlike many other countries, has managed to sophisticated the arsenal inherited from the Soviet Union and has become a producer of drones and missiles," Hasani declared on "Interaktiv."
He criticized the West for its soft approach to Iran's nuclear program, stressing that agreements on uranium enrichment have never been respected by Tehran.
Hasani assessed that even the most moderate forces within Israel would react in the same way in the face of Iran's nuclear advances, while ruling out the possibility of a third world war breaking out.
"The Sunni states surrounding Iran are as endangered as Israel itself. Although some of them condemn Israeli attacks for reasons of domestic legitimacy, in military terms their solidarity is zero," he concluded, adding that neither China nor Russia has a real interest in getting directly involved in this conflict.
The professor further stated that Khamenei's regime will face major challenges after the end of the war.
"Khamenei has spent a billion dollars and promised to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. He will confront the people," he continued.
Israel and Iran launched a wave of attacks on each other on Friday last week. Initially, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, while Tehran responded with hundreds of missiles. So far, hundreds of casualties and significant infrastructure damage have been recorded.
