The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has requested American support for Kosovo's membership in NATO.
"We are ready to become a member of NATO," he said during a visit to the US Congress, in a meeting with Republican Congressman from Texas, Pete Sessions.
"We are proud of our history, of what we have been through and where we are today. Today I believe we are ready to join the US in all its global commitments, including NATO membership. We are small, but NATO is there," Haradinaj said in a video posted on Facebook.
Haradinaj is staying in the US, as a guest for "Morning Prayers." According to the announcement from the AAK, he will deliver a speech on Capitol Hill.
