Haradinaj responds to Vesel: When we tried to abolish the Special, we did not listen to America

Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has responded to the Speaker of the Assembly, Kadri Veseli, for his request that the tax on Serbia be removed for 120 days.

Haradinaj at the Memorial Academy on the 22nd anniversary of the fall of the Heroes of the Nation, Zahir Pajaziti, Edmond Hoxha and Hakif Zejnullahu in Junik, said that there is a call to preserve the partnership with the USA, but this partnership was not considered when the repeal was attempted of the Special Court. He added that the attempt to abolish it was because they were afraid for themselves.

He said that the attempt to abolish the Special was made for himself because together with Veseli and Hashim Thaçin they were afraid of this Court, reports Kosovapress.

"If we open the door for 120 days, we don't need to close it again, because it no longer has its value. That the merchandise that comes in for those 120 days is here for 10 years. It is good that they are honest with our friends, with America, with you, the market that is hurting us, why are we doing this", he said.

"We don't have it because of anger, when we have it behind us that we went to the Special Court, we tried to overturn the law, in the Parliament. I've also been in love with Rezu and we don't like the American saying: 'you're stabbing us in the back'. We don't care about friendship and we were the same people, Hashimi, Kadria, Ramushi, we are the same, we didn't give five bucks. They came out every day and put pressure on us: 'don't touch the law', we never had it for ourselves. We wanted it with a ray and we did not get the votes because we had dropped it, we are not upset at all about the friendship that we are loving today with Rujt", said Haradinaj.

Haradinaj has also spoken about the conclusion of the Kosovo-Serbia agreement and according to him, they are facing international pressure that in exchange for the recognition of Kosovo by Serbia, Kosovo should give a part of the territory in the north, or create a Republic within Kosovo.

While the prime minister has invited the president Hashim Thaçi and the speaker of the Assembly Kadri Veseli, the leaders of the opposition parties Albin Kurti and Isa Mustafa to stand unanimously and condition the recognition by Serbia through the tax.

"The Kosovo-Serbia agreement needs to be concluded and it is good that it is concluded. We have asked the international community. If we need to return this market, I am giving the market your recognition. I don't believe that we are exaggerating, I am getting a lot of recognition, but I will give it to the market", he said.

The head of the government has reiterated that he will not remove the tax without recognition. "I have not given the market to Serbia without getting recognition, let everyone know. This is not against America, we have Serbia as an enemy. We do not give Zajednica, we will give a market", he said.
