Haradinaj: I did not leave the dialogue in Thaçi's hands, but I took it out of his hands

Acting Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that he had not left the dialogue in the hands of President Hashim Thaçi, but took it from him by turning it into a serious table together with Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron, reports KTV.

Haradinaj was criticized for giving up the dialogue, allowing the dialogue with Serbia to be led by President Hashim Thaçi.

"I didn't leave it in the hands of the president, but I took it out of his hands. We have removed it from a dialogue of closed doors, of hidden agendas and turned it into a serious table of two leaders such as Angela Merkel and Emmauel Macron. I have taken it out of his hands since it was taking place", said Haradinaj in the "Fol Hapur" debate organized by the Fol Movement.

He is optimistic that a solution will be found, while emphasizing that he is one of the leaders with the clearest positions against dialogue.

"I think we will find a solution. Relations with a party must be clear and not blurred. My clarity in relations with Serbia has left no doubt as to what the solution will be. I think that among the leaders of Kosovo, no one has clearer positions", said Haradinaj.

On this occasion, he also spoke about the liberalization of visas.

"The truth is that the Government that has been led by me has a very big dynamic behind it to meet the criteria for liberalization. If you take the time and the governing dynamics of focusing on the contractual part for visas, it is a record time", said Haradinaj, reports KTV.

He expects to have news about visa liberalization by Christmas.

"Now we are at the Council of Ministers and it may be included in the agenda before November 1. It is optional that I receive the news before Christmas", said Haradinaj.

According to him, it is not a situation of veto by any country in the case of liberalization.

"We must continue communication with France. I don't think there's a veto from anyone, or it's not a veto situation. I think that we are coming to that time when a right that has been missing for so long will happen", said Haradinaj.

And in this debate, Haradinaj admitted that there were wrong decisions in his government.

"This government has also made wrong decisions. If we talk about salaries, it was not a good decision. This decision also has a tail behind it - it resulted in the increase of salaries for prosecutors and judges. Thanks to my work, today there is a legal basis for salaries", said Haradinaj.

He also describes the decision to dismiss the Education Quality Commission as wrong.

"Even today we are not satisfied with the quality of education. There is a belief that there are intangibles and this is done for the market that does not have intangibles. Tax is a process that has many effects, one of them is political populism, I admit. But I assure you that this decision has returned Kosovo to the table of equals. We are not raw material for anyone, we are parties", he declared.
