The acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, has called the indictment against her for state reserves by the Special Prosecution Office entirely political.
She has cited the war in Ukraine as justification for the reservations in 2022 and "the Prosecution's war against the Government headed by Albin Kurti" as justification for the prosecution's accusations.
Hajdari said Kurti had nothing to do with this case. "He only approved our legitimate request," she said.
"Every claim of the Special Prosecution is unfounded and only affirms the political tendency of this prosecution towards the Kurti Government. Any other claim is a claim for political gain that is impermissible and immoral considering the period we are in in 2022." "All the so-called evidence from the Prosecution was collected illegally through investigators who implemented the order of Prosecutor Valdet Gashi who sent them to MINT without a security certificate. In the PIK report, Acting Chief Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj was asked to authorize the PIK for further actions, but this was closed by Prosecutor Valdet Gashi. As a minister, we have evidence that proves that upon receiving the PIK report, Gashi was in a conflict of interest and cannot handle the case because he himself had authorized the investigators to take the documentation of the reserves to MINT," she said at the conference.
Hajdari further said that the endangerment of state secrets, through the obtaining of documentation on the reserves, was done by the Special Prosecution Office and "some media outlets", emphasizing that he did not do this "in any way" himself.

You citizens should be informed that we at MINT have acted urgently to find a friendly country or company that would open the doors to the export of basic products in February-March 2022," she stated.

She called securing reserves during the February-March 2022 period "vital", as according to the minister, national security was at risk.
"For this reason, securing reserves of goods was vital because national security was at risk, immediate action by our institutions was needed," she said.
A few days ago, the Special Prosecution Office filed an indictment against Hajdari and several other officials and a businessman on suspicion of having abused their official duties for financial gain for other persons and causing damage to the budget of about three million euros, when contracting state reserves during 2022. According to the indictment, Hajdari was even aware that the price of wheat imported from a Turkish company was about 200 euros more expensive per ton, but still decided to continue with the higher price.

The Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Vlora Çitaku, has described the appearance of Rozeta Hajdari, the acting Minister of Industry, at a press conference on Friday as scandalous.
Hajdari said that the indictment against her regarding the issue of political reservations was entirely political. She also said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti had nothing to do with this case.
Çitaku, in a post on Facebook, said that no one is following Hajdari politically. She wrote that Hajdari has no contribution to politics, except for abuse.
"What a scandalous performance by Rozeta Hajdari. After saying that she is being "politically persecuted". No, Rozeta. No one is politically persecuting you. The indictment you have on your shoulders is for the millions abused as a Minister with state reserves. Because in politics, you have done nothing. You have no political weight, you have no contribution. What you have done is abuse your duty and allow yourself to be instrumentalized by Albin Kurti. That's the whole story. And today, instead of facing justice, you come out and attack the Prosecutor who is doing his job, implicate the AKI, and defend the one who gave you orders. No one is above the law, Rozeta. Neither those who abused, nor those who ordered them," Çitaku wrote.
