Hajdari: I have never been questioned about state reserves

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, has said that she has never been questioned by the Prosecutor's Office about suspicions of misuse of state reserves.

Invited to KTV's "60 Minutes" on Tuesday, Hajdari said that her position on this issue has been clear since the first day, as she expressed her reservations about the information she can give about the current state of state reserves, saying that anyone who is interested can refer to the law in force on state reserves.

"I have never been questioned about this matter. My position is very clear from the first day, I have found a situation of the state oil reserve that has not been able to perform its function in case of market disorder. This commission (for state reserves) has been delayed in their clarifications within the commission. We, as the minister, are open to providing any information according to the legislation in force, respecting the state reserve law that treats it as a secret. All the documents that came to the Ministry constitute elements of the secret state reserve", she said.

Months ago, suspicions were raised that the oil paid for by Poland did not reach the state reserves in Kosovo, and the same is claimed to have happened with a part of the wheat.

While talking about the import of oil, Hajdari said that the aim is to have a healthy oil market and protected consumers.

"We intend to develop the competitiveness of doing business. In the case of oil import, we aim to have a healthy oil market as much as possible, we aim to have the consumer protected and not to have speculated prices in the market with a commercial margin of up to 30 cents per liter of oil . The quality of oil is now better thanks to the removal of the practice of oil enrichment. It has been a harmful practice to enrich oil through oil laboratories or oil refineries that have greatly damaged the quality of oil in our market," she said.
