Democratic Party of Kosovo MP, Përparim Gruda, has said that the extraordinary session being held with an agenda item on the formation of parliamentary committees is unconstitutional.

As the only MP from parties that were previously in opposition to participate in this session, Grua said that no assembly can hold sessions without electing the government.

"Other issues cannot be addressed without the formation of a Government. It is a standard recognized worldwide," he said.

Regarding the agenda, he said that the current government does not have the right to propose the budget. "This Assembly has no connection with the existing government," Gruda said.

He also said that the formation of commissions is impossible because, as he said, it is not known who is in power and who is in opposition.

Acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that the fact that MP Gruda is in session even after the Vlora Çitaku conference, which said they would not participate, shows the dissonance within the party.

"So they probably assessed that he didn't do a good job at the conference and came here," he stated.

According to him, Gruda said that for all committees except two of them, the committee for oversight of the KIA and the one for Public Finances, it does not matter who is in the ruling party or the opposition.
