The current President, Vjosa Osmani, issued a decree on the dissolution of the Parliament on the morning of March 6, a few hours after the legislative institution began the procedures for the election of the new president. Osmani's decision was welcomed by the opposition parties that met with her in consultations to set the date for the early elections, but not by the Vetëvendosje Movement. The entity that leads the Government has called her decree unconstitutional and has sent it for interpretation to the Constitutional Court. It has also been considered unconstitutional by experts in legal and political matters.
Excellent news.
