The director of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Marko Gjurić, said this morning that the new government of Kosovo is the first that will depend on the votes of the Serbs and that it will not be able to survive if the Serbs, in the political sense, are mistreated.
Gjuriq recalled that the Serbs will have 10 MPs and three ministers, one more than before, estimating for the Serbian television "Pink" that the Serbs in Kosovo have never had so much political power.
According to his words, this is the result of the fact that they have united and function in coordination "with their country", reports Koha.net.
He said that this is important to improve the condition of the Serbian people, estimating that taking over the Ministry of Agriculture is very important for the Serbs in Kosovo because "85 percent of the people there live in villages and are mainly engaged in agriculture".
"Serbia has supported the Serbian List, because it considers that the Serbs in Kosovo know their own interests best", Gjurić repeated, adding that "the Serbian people are waiting for other battles to improve the situation in the province" and that for this " they will always have the support of the state".
"We will not leave them as a pseudo-opposition", he emphasized.
He also said that Serbia's attitude towards the new Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has not changed and that Serbia will continue to demand his extradition.
Despite Haradinaj's speech in the Serbian language in the Kosovo parliament, Djuriq said that he does not believe in his sincerity, adding that "I know how difficult it is for our people who will have to face Haradinaj".
