Mortal remains have been found during excavations conducted in the municipality of Rahovec, which are suspected to belong to at least one person who went missing during the war in Kosovo.
According to the police announcement, as part of the continuation of the investigations, the relevant police unit, in coordination with the Institute of Forensic Medicine and based on a court order, has conducted excavations at a location in Rahovec.

The remains have been removed from the scene and sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for forensic examination, where they will undergo autopsy and DNA analysis for identification purposes.

On March 4, the Government Commission for Missing Persons announced that mortal remains were found at the location known as "Përzhina" in Rahovec, and were sent for examination to the IML.
According to the announcement, the exact number of people and their identities from the mortal remains that were found are unknown.
