On Wednesday, Rashit Gashi was fired from KEDS, where he worked for 13 years.
In the Express Interview at KTV, he claims that his union commitment was the reason for his dismissal
"During the schedule, at the end of work, I was called that I have a meeting with the director. The meeting was short but tendentious, he told me thank you for the contribution and from today I should not come to work. We don't need your services and that's it, you didn't give me any information", he said, adding that "I represent over 1 thousand workers, this violates all rules and laws".
Gashi said he believes his dismissal was due to his union commitment. "Even last week there was a departure. But he was not a union member", he said.
He says that with the decision to remove him, KEDS has not respected the institution of the Trade Union, violating the Law on trade union organization for the immunity of its members.

Gashi says that he has never received criticism from the management.
"My privacy has also been violated. For example, they escorted me on vacation," he said.
The number of those excluded from KEDS has gone over 300. And for this reason, Gashi claims that these places have been replaced by relatives.
"There are now many family and party jobs in KEDS", he said.
"I was never trained. They never dealt with me. My union commitment is the only reason I was fired. The KEDS company aims to suppress the trade union voice", he says.
This case, he says, concerns only the trade union institution.
