Germany is one of the countries that is issuing the most visas to the citizens of Kosovo.
The German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jörn Rohde, at the table "Emigration of the workforce from Kosovo: How much will the pandemic and Germany's new migration rules affect this phenomenon?", said that by the summer they will increase the capacities, hired 6 new employees in the visa section.
"Last year I was surprised how the German Embassy managed to issue more visas than any other section. We are increasing the number of staff in the visa section. Regarding how many visas will be issued, it is difficult to say, we have a quota", stated Rohde.
The Deputy Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Ilir Kapiti, said that the flight of young people happened as a result of years of mismanagement and corruption.
"This is a consequence of corruption and mismanagement", said Kapiti.
And, the executive director of the GAP Institute, Nora Latifi-Jashari, stated that the pandemic had negative effects on the state of the economy.
