The Prishtina Regional Water Company has announced that from 16:00 there will be water reductions in Fushë-Kosovo, Obiliq and Drenas, due to engineering interventions in the Ibër-Lepenci canal.

"Prishtina" announced on Monday that the reductions will last until 20:00.

"Due to engineering interventions last night in the Ibër Lepenci canal to prevent water leaks, from the impossibility of receiving sufficient amounts of water from the canal, we are forced to apply water reductions in Fushë Kosovë, Obiliq and Drenas from 16:00: 20-00:XNUMX", the communique says.

On Monday, the Minister of Economy, Artanë Rizvanolli, announced that a new engineering solution had to be made in order to maintain the safety of the channel.

"Due to water leaks in the part of the canal that was damaged by the terrorist attack, in order to maintain the safety of the canal, it was necessary to make a new engineering solution. In order to carry out works on the canal, the water supply to the canal was interrupted last night at midnight. As a result, the municipalities that are supplied with water from Ibër Lepenci may have reductions during the day. The interventions in the canal have just been completed and the supply of water to the canal has resumed, while the water levels in the Kosova B Thermal Power Plant have been monitored and have been sufficient throughout. As during the past two days, the first priority will remain the sufficient supply of the thermal power plant with water for cooling, to then expand the supply to the KRU as early as possible", said Rizvanolli.
