In the fall, a Kosovo-Croatia Economic Forum will be held in Pristina for a closer economic cooperation between the two countries, where the Prime Minister of Croatia will also participate.
This was announced today at the meeting of the Kosovo-Croatia Friendship Group of the Croatian Parliament with the Kosovo-Croatia Friendship Group of the Kosovo Assembly, where topics of importance to both countries were discussed.
The Chairman of the Kosovo-Croatia Friendship Group, Avdullah Hoti, said that it was a friendly meeting and thanked the Croatian delegation for the support that Croatia has continuously given to Kosovo.
"A friendly country in the full sense of the word, which has higher evaluations from our side. We have had a common history as two countries in consolidating our citizenship and I believe a lot from Croatia's rich experience in this regard, in particular in reaching that necessary political consensus among all political forces on topics that are of national importance", declared Hoti, KsP reports.
Andrija Mikulić, chairman of the Friendship Group from Croatia, said that they will work to increase cooperation with the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo, and according to him, Croatia will always support Kosovo in the process of integration into the European Union.
"What I want to say from here is that we will work to increase the level of parliamentary cooperation and we agreed to meet every three to six months. We represent the interests of our communities, we will concretize the things we will talk about. So, with a message I want to say that the Republic of Croatia will always help the Republic of Kosovo on its way to Europe. We were, are and will be friends in the future as well", said Mikuliq.
Ermina Lekaj Perlaskaj, the only Albanian deputy in the Parliament of Croatia, said that the purpose of this meeting is to have the best relations with Kosovo in terms of integration and economy.
"This is the first visit we have made with the Friendship Group of Croatia, where we aim to have the best possible relations and relations with the Republic of Kosovo to give you support in European integration, as well as at the same time have a economic cooperation as close as possible and we will start this with a forum between economists and businesses that will hopefully be held in September or October, where the president of the Government of Croatia will also participate", said Lekaj-Perlaskaj.
Of the 120 deputies in the Assembly of Kosovo, 26 of them are in the Kosovo-Croatia Friendship Group.
