The Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti, met with the Deputy Director of the International Monetary Fund, Tao Zhang, who informed him about the general developments in the financial system, as well as thanked him for the continuous support that the IMF has provided to the Central Bank of Kosovo. over the years, the press release announced, Koha.net reports.
In continuation of the visit to Bali, the delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, consisting of the Governor, Fehmi Mehmeti, the Chairman of the Board of the CBK, Flamur Mrasori, the Deputy Governor, Sokol Havolli and the Chief of the Governor's Cabinet, Nexhat Miftari, has developed meeting with the director of the IMF Department for Europe, Paul Thomsen, who was informed about the developments in the financial sector in Kosovo.
Governor Mehmeti thanked him for supporting and approving the CBK's request for the Financial Stability Sector Review.
During this visit, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, represented by Governor Mehmeti, and the Central Bank of Turkey, represented by Governor Çetinkaya, which is about the exchange of information between the two institutions.
Also, in the wake of these meetings, Governor Mehmeti also met with the outgoing Executive Director of the Constituency at the International Monetary Fund, Michaela Erbenova, whom he thanked for her continuous support to the CBK and the state institutions of the Republic. of Kosovo, in the International Monetary Fund and at the same time wished her luck and success in her future commitments.
