30 days of detention for Sheholli
(Text updated 16:45) - The Basic Court in Pristina has ordered a 30-day detention for Fatmir Sheholli, arrested on suspicion of espionage.
The court has assessed that the gravity of the offense for which Sheholli is suspected is of a serious nature and that the imposition of this measure is necessary and that any other measure would be insufficient.

(Updated text) - The Kosovo Prosecution, in justifying the request for a 30-day detention measure for the espionage suspect, Fatmir Sheholli, wrote that he provided the Serbian Intelligence Service (BIA) with information about "allegedly usurped" properties of Serbs in Kosovo, as well as about the state and functioning of Kosovo's institutions.

The justification provided to KOHA states that he provided this information to senior BIA official Bojan Dimić through telephone communications and messages.
"The defendant Fatmir Sheholli, from an unspecified date and continuously, until his arrest on 09.10.2025, in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, intentionally and in the capacity of a person recruited by the Serbian Intelligence Service (known as BIA), has provided continuous assistance to this foreign service, acting according to the orders and instructions of the senior BIA official, Bojan Dimić, in such a way that he has collected data, information and documents related to the "allegedly usurped" properties of the Serbian community in Kosovo, in relation to business activities, as well as the state and functioning of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, which information he then forwarded to the senior BIA official through communications and telephone messages," the Prosecution's request states.
According to the Prosecution, the information that Sheholli forwarded to the BIA violated security and legal order in Kosovo.
"It has been established that on 26.09.2025, at around 14:00, according to the instructions and operational plan prepared by the BIA's charter officer, Bojan Dimić, the defendant Sheholli, together with his wife and his Audi car, went to North Mitrovica and when they arrived at the parking lot of the technical school, from a person unknown so far, he received audio materials and transcripts of conversations of several senior officials of the Ministry of Communities and Returns, which are suspected of being compromising, as well as a sum of money as a reward for their publication, which materials were then published in online media in Kosovo, which with these actions the defendant Fatmir Sheholli intentionally and knowingly assisted the BIA by implementing their instructions, which thereby violated the security and legal order of the Republic of Kosovo, the integrity of its officials and citizens," the request states.
Audio recording reveals Sheholli's ties to Serbian List
Arrested on suspicion of espionage, Fatmir Sheholli, is heard talking to two people, a woman and a man, to whom he tells about his connections with the Serbian List and the terrorist Milan Radoićić, according to an audio recording published by RTK.
According to sources from "Oath for Justice", the audio recording includes Bosnian MP Duda Balje and a person named Amir Rrustemović, who has admitted that they were involved in the recording.
Meanwhile, when contacted by KOHË, Balje refused to comment, saying that he will soon come out with a reaction. As soon as there is a reaction, the article will be published.

Sheholli in custody for another two months
Fatmir Sheholli was taken to the Basic Court in Pristina on Friday. The day before, he was arrested on suspicion of espionage, while the Special Prosecution Office has requested that he be remanded in custody. After the court hearing, he will be granted a security measure.
Fatmir Sheholli was a member of the Serbian State Security in the early 90s. After the war, he maintained ties with Serbian politicians in Kosovo and was active in the Institute for the Advancement of Interethnic Relations.
Following his arrest, his apartment in the capital was also raided. Investigators from the relevant units were seen leaving the building where Sheholli resides, from which they also seized materials, which are suspected to be related to the investigation into the criminal offense of "Espionage".
In addition to suspicions of espionage, a KIA document shows that he is also involved in budget misuse.
In March of this year, KOHA reported that the KIA inspector submitted a report to the Special Prosecution Office last year, in which it was found that without following internal procedures, there was an increase in the budget for informants, while the expenditure of around 2 million euros was made without identifying the recipients, or even in cases where they were known, there was no data on the information received in exchange.
During the years 2017-2020, among those who benefited from this fund is Fatmir Sheholli, who, according to the report, received 639 thousand euros from the KIA.
Sheholli has frequently appeared on a number of television debates in the role of political analyst.

Sheholli's detention extended for another two months
In public appearances, he has said that after the war he was engaged in the Kosovo Intelligence Service (SHIK), but has also admitted that he worked as an inspector for the UDB in the 90s.
And, an article in the newspaper "Bujku", published on March 15, 1991, shows that 44 Sheholli families from Podujevo and the surrounding area publicly distanced themselves from Fatmir Sheholli and his father, who were accused of collaborating with the Serbian government of the time.
