Organized by the Faculty of Law at the AAB College, the lecture "Judicial system in Kosovo, challenges and difficulties" was held, where the president of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Enver Peci, was invited.
In this lecture, the President of the Supreme Court said that Kosovo's institutions and international friends, since the post-war period, have not stopped working to have a real judicial system in Kosovo, where everyone will be equal and treated as such. and in order to achieve this, we need greater political will and full commitment.
"With political will it can be done better, the situation is not what we want, the problem is the large number of cases, maybe I could say that the problem is also created by other powers, because it did not have adequate support in the direction of improving both the material conditions and other conditions for the judiciary", said Peci.
The President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Enver Peci, said that currently the trust in the judicial system is low, since the media has revealed many cases of corruption in this sector. According to him, the fight against corruption also means taking effective measures for the real strengthening of the independence of the judicial system as a whole.
Peci requested that the EULEX mission complete its mission, as the time has come for Kosovo to face its own problems as an independent and sovereign state.
