Exports have been declining while imports have been increasing during August 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Exports of goods in August 2025 were worth 76,2 million euros, while imports were worth 613,1 million euros, the Kosovo Agency of Statistics announced.
According to ASK, data shows that Kosovo's foreign trade in goods shows a trade deficit of 7.7% in August 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, or 536,8 million euros compared to the deficit of 498,5 million euros in 2024.
Kosovo's exports to EU countries amounted to 23,4 million euros, or about 30,7% of total exports, with a decrease of (-2,6). The main partners for the export of goods to the EU were: Germany (11,4%), the Netherlands (2,4%), Italy (2,1), etc.
Kosovo's imports from EU countries were around 261,7 million euros, or 42,7% of total imports, with an increase of 7,7%. The imports with the highest share were from: Germany (14,0%), Italy (4,2%), Poland (3,9%), etc.
Kosovo's exports to CEFTA countries reached 38,2 million euros, or 50,1% of total exports, with a decrease of (-12,6%). The main export partners from CEFTA countries were: Albania (22,4%), North Macedonia (13,0%), Serbia (7,7%), Montenegro (5,2%),
Imports from CEFTA countries reached 77,9 million euros, or 12,7% of total imports, with an increase of 4,5%. The countries with the highest import share were: North Macedonia (4,1%), Albania (3,6%), Serbia (3,0%).

Kosovo's exports to other countries of the world reached 14,7 million euros, or 19,2%. The most important export partners of these countries were: Switzerland (10,5%) and Turkey (3,7%).
Kosovo's imports from other countries of the world reached 273,5 million euros, or 44,6%. The countries with the highest import share in this group were: China (14,5%) and Turkey (12,9%).
