The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MINTI) has fined the electricity distribution operator KEDS another 65 thousand euros for meters that were found to have expired verification periods.
In the new case, KEDS was fined for 13 electricity meters.
The ministry had launched the investigation after complaints from citizens that meters were calculating incorrectly during night and day hours.
And at the end of June, it was announced that more than 1500 consumer complaints had been handled in six months. Fines totaling more than 300 euros were imposed on KEDS.
It has not been announced when the process of compensating citizens who have been harmed by this calculation will begin.
