The Diaspora added one MP to LVV and removed one from PDK

Diaspora votes have changed the results of political parties. After the counting of votes, Vetëvendosje has gained one more MP, reaching 48, while PDK has fallen by one MP, to 24 in total. LDK and AAK have retained their mandates, 20 each and 8 the other. From the diaspora votes, Vetëvendosje won the majority, LDK came in second.

With the current results, when 76 counted diaspora votes have been added to the regular votes, Vetëvendosje has received 42.28 percent of the February 9 votes, PDK 20.96 percent, LDK 18.43 percent, AAK 7.08 percent, and Nisma 47 percent. The counting of diaspora votes, which includes postal voting and voting in diplomatic missions, has changed the distribution of seats among political parties in the Assembly. From the 24 MPs it won with regular votes, LVV has increased by one MP with diaspora votes, while PDK has decreased by one MP, to 20. LDK will retain the 8 seats it won with regular votes, and AAK-Nisma will also retain XNUMX seats.

From the diaspora votes, Vetëvendosje won 58 percent of them, LDK came in second with 26 percent, PDK third with 9 percent and AAK with 3 percent. In addition to the results of political entities, diaspora votes have also influenced the competition of candidates within the parties. The 48th Vetëvendosje MP will be Rozeta Hajdari, who, without counting the votes from abroad, was 7 seats short of the MP's mandate. In LDK, candidate Hysen Çekaj, who with regular votes within Kosovo was ranked 29th and had not managed to win a seat in the Assembly, with diaspora votes, has emerged as the 11th most voted candidate within the party. Çekaj has received more votes from the diaspora than he has received in Kosovo. In PDK and AAK, diaspora votes have not created major movements.

With these current results, which do not include conditional votes and those of people with special needs, 40 deputies from the previous legislature will remain outside the Assembly, not including Serbian and non-Serbian minorities.

In LVV, 18 MPs were not re-elected; Adnan Rrustemi, Gani Krasniqi, Gramos Agusholli, Agon Batusha, Ardian Gola, Luan Aliu, Alban Bajrami, Nijazi Isaku, Vendenis Lahu, Nasuf Bejta, Shqipe Isufi, Enver Dugolli, Mirsad Shkreta, Mirlinda Tishukaj, Milazim Salihaj, Enver Haliti, Hidajet Hyseni, Jetmire Vrenezi.
