Witness Fadil Geci is testifying for the second day in a row in the biggest case of the Special Chambers. Former deputy Geci said that former president Hashim Thaçi was relieved after the death of the Jashari family because they thought that this would be how he would become the head of the KLA.
He made serious accusations, also saying that the KLA saw the LDK as an obstacle in Drenica and wanted to eliminate it.
He also said that he went to the house of Hashim Thaçi's family to ask about the 59th communique that described the witness's brother, Gani Geci, as a traitor after the murder of Abedin Rexha.
"From the first day he wrote it, I knew about it, I went to his house and told him the answer to Communiqué 59. He said within a month, his father, I will give him the answer. He never gave the answer... He didn't give the answer, because he thought 'Jashars were liquidated', he wanted the dead people and mentioned them, not the living ones. And we are alive. He also thought about liquidating us, we are here and God has protected us to tell the truth and write the truth and not the lie", said the witness.
