The approach of the June 7 elections has highlighted a new political clash - that of the camp of former President Vjosa Osmani with their former colleagues in Guxo and Vetëvendosje.
Former President Osmani is expected to run on the Democratic League of Kosovo list. She has brought with her several former members of the Guxo party, which on Friday also formalized a coalition with Vetëvendosje.
On Thursday, Osmani officially nominated former Guxo MP Jeta Statovci, and on Friday, Albena Reshitaj. In her camp, Haxhi Avdyli has publicly supported her, while Osmani's advisor Burim Meta, also a former MP from the VV-Guxo coalition, will also be part of the LDK list.
Following the recent memberships, the secretary of the Guxo party, Triera Kasumi-Berisha, reacted on Friday. She said that the wise citizen will remember not only the names, but also the deeds of the people who left in recent days to join Osmani. According to her, this means "three less problems" for the party.
"These expected departures from Guxo at the rate of "one departure per day", in terms of form and narrative, are extremely similar to the scenario of departures from LVV in January 2018. The names of the protagonists change, but not the method and the goal. Especially not the goal. For the Guxo Party, only 3 fewer problems. On June 7, the wise citizen of this Republic will remember not only the names but also the ''deeds''", wrote Kasumi-Berisha.

Avdyli reacted to this. He said that it is not about "three problems", but counted the votes that these three former MPs received.
"No, 3 fewer problems but 100,786 fewer votes. Otherwise, on December 28, Jeta Statovci had 37,916 votes, Haxhi Avdyli 33,562 votes and Albena Reshitaj with 29,308 votes. See you on June 7..."
And former Vetëvendosje MP Mefail Bajqinovci commented on Osman's return to the LDK list on Friday. He accused Osman of only fighting for position.
"Look how interesting! LDK is presenting Vjosa Osmani as a "return home", but she is going with her own party, with a separate list and with a request for a position for herself. You can't say "I'm returning to the family", but don't accept being part of that family. Nothing new. Even with Albin, the cooperation lasted until he got the position he wanted. When he doesn't get the position, he doesn't last. The same is happening today: position before unity, self before everyone. And when he doesn't get the vote and position he seeks, you will find him again seeking votes and position somewhere else", wrote Bajqinovci.
The night before, on KTV's "Interaktiv", Burim Meta said that the return of Osmani and her camp to LDK is a "return home". He said that this return "will stabilize the political scene". "We will revive the sleeping electorate of LDK, we will take the electorate from VV and we will take all those who voted for VV because of Vjosa Osmani", he declared.
Another former VV MP, Enver Dugolli, has also opposed those who have left VV.
"I know one thing for sure: those who have abandoned the Vetëvendosje Movement and its just cause have neither had nor will have a political future. However, they can be calm about one thing, the television studios will not leave them 'out of work'," Dugolli wrote on Facebook.

Jeta Statovci joins Vjosa Osmani
Guxo was founded in November 2020 by Osmani after her departure from LDK. She ran on the VV list. Osmani became president in 2021 and her party was led by Donika Gërvalla and Faton Peci.
Osmani's term as president ended in April. She did not receive support in the Assembly for a second term. The Assembly did not even elect a candidate for president. As a result, Kosovo will go to new parliamentary elections – the third in less than a year and a half.
