The Basic Court in Pristina has released the member of the Assembly of Kosovo from NISMA Social Democrat, Milaim Zeka, since the Prosecutor's Office has not made a request for the continuation of the measure of house arrest.
The news about Kallxo was confirmed by the judge of the case, Rrustem Begolli.
He said that the court did not accept any request from the prosecution for the continuation of the measure of house arrest against Zeka until the moment when the term of the preliminary measure expired.
"Therefore, the Court had nothing to decide and at the moment of passing the deadline for which this measure was imposed, Milaim Zeka was released", said judge Begolli.
The same reasoning was given by Gazmend Halilaj, Milaim Zeka's lawyer.
"My client is at liberty since the prosecution has not applied for the continuation of the measure of house arrest or the replacement of this measure with a milder measure", said lawyer Halilaj.
Zeka was under house arrest after suspicions of threatening a prosecutor.

Currently, Milaim Zeka has an indictment filed in August of this year by the Special Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kosovo together with Ilir Krasniq and Edmond Kërliu for the criminal offenses: fraud, tax evasion as well as for the criminal offense of money laundering.
According to the indictment of the Special Prosecutor's Office of the defendants Ilir Krasniqi and Milaim Zeka, from 2016 to March 2017, with the purpose of illegal financial gain, initially the aforementioned defendants on 02.06.2016 registered the business as an employment agency, where they presented false facts about the employment of Kosovar citizens in Germany, so that the defendants Ilir Krasniqi and Milaim Zeka deceived 900 applicants for work visas.
The same case when the Prosecution did not ask the court to continue the security measure happened months ago with the former deputy of the PDK and the former commander-in-chief of the KLA, Azem Syla, accused in the "Toka" case. .
