LDK and PDK MPs say they were threatened, they trust the Police

LDK and PDK deputies have confirmed that there were plans for assassinations against them and that they were notified of such a thing by the security institutions in the country. However, they have stated that they do not have detailed information and that the law enforcement agencies are dealing with the case.

PDK and LDK MPs do not have detailed information regarding the plans for assassinations against them.

Apart from the confirmation, the leaders of the two biggest opposition parties in the country, Lumir Abdixiku of the LDK and Memli Krasniqi of the PDK, have not given any other details.

"These are matters for the justice bodies. We are waiting just as you are waiting... We believe in the work of the justice and investigative bodies", said Lumir Abdixhiku, chairman of the LDK.

"I can confirm that we have been contacted by the Kosovo Police, they have informed us that in the same case already made public by the LDK MPs, my name and the name of MP Musliu were also included. We have been informed about the measures they are taking regarding this matter and we will be in further communication", said the head of the PDK.

The MPs Ganimete Musliu and Armend Zemaj, who were reported to be among those against whom the assassination was planned, did not provide details either.

"I have nothing more to add to the president's statements. I don't feel scared. I have full faith in law enforcement. We will be in cooperation for any information they require from me as a deputy", said Musliu.

"Thank you very much, everything is in the hands of the law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Kosovo, it is their assessment, it is their judgment, we do our job. We are representatives of the citizens, we continue with the work in the Assembly and of course everything will be clarified by the Police and the investigation", said Zemaj.

A day ago, it was reported that still unidentified persons residing outside of Kosovo, have planned assassinations against opposition officials in the country.

The expert on security issues, Drizan Shala, said that the Police should direct the investigations in several directions.

"In the first case, deal with the verification of information, for a possible threat from certain individuals or groups, which can be achieved through the cooperation that the Kosovo Police has with the various structures, in this case the German police. On the other hand, there should also be an investigation regarding the fact that the deputy who was contacted by the service, whether we have a violation of the law here, because it is known that anyone who cooperates or receives or accepts different information is in violation of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo", said Shala.

The Kosovo Police did not provide any details either. Its officials have said that they are dealing with the case, which they described as threats.
