Deputetja e Partisë Demokratike të Kosovës, Blerta Deliu-Kodra ka kërkuar nga institucionet e Kosovës të mbështesin një mekanizëm profesional dhe të pavarur për monitorimin e procedurave pranë Dhomave të Specializuara, në përputhje me kornizën ligjore dhe garancitë për pavarësinë e gjyqësorit.
Gjatë seancës së Kuvendit të Kosovës, Blerta Deliu-Kodra duke iu referuar raportit të Avokatit të Popullit për Dhomat e Specializuara dhe Zyrën e Prokurorit të Specializuar, ajo tha se shqetësimet e ngritura për të drejtat e ish-drejtuesve të UÇK-së kërkojnë trajtim serioz dhe veprim institucional.
"When the constitutional institution for the protection of human rights raises concerns of this magnitude, the Assembly has an obligation to examine them and request action from the responsible institutions," declared Deliu-Kodra.
The PDK MP also raised the issue of the lack of democratic oversight, emphasizing that Kosovo's institutions have not had a real opportunity to exercise oversight and demand accountability for their functioning.
Deliu-Kodra raised concerns about respect for private and family life during detention visits, the time available to the defense, and the equality of arms. She also sought clarification on whether the defense was provided with full access to information on the origin and reliability of materials, especially those originating from Serbia.
“Për PDK-në, drejtësia për krerët e UÇK-së mbetet një përgjegjësi e përhershme. Kjo përgjegjësi kërkon punë të organizuar, argumente profesionale dhe angazhim shtetëror të vazhdueshëm”, ka deklaruar Deliu-Kodra.
On behalf of the PDK, Deliu-Kodra requested that the documented concerns be officially addressed to the Council of Europe, the European Union and international partners, with a request for an independent assessment and respect for human rights standards.
"The first and fundamental principle of building democracy in a country is accountability," she said, adding that the Specialist Chambers must also respect the democratic and constitutional principles of the Republic of Kosovo.
